“They need it more!”: A teacher in the USA saved up a million dollars and donated it to children with disabilities

A simple teacher from the American state of New Jersey named Genevieve Via Cava saved all my life on my daily expenses, did not allow myself anything extra. This alone helped her to set aside a substantial amount of money from the teacher’s income - million dollars.

Now the name of an American, previously unknown to anyone, has become a symbol of goodwill - she bequeathed her million to the fund to help children with disabilitieswho want to learn and receive a profession.

Now the management of the foundation intends to establish a monthly scholarship for children and students with disabilities, provided that they strive for knowledge and higher education.

Via Kava herself worked as a teacher in a school for such children. She knew them well experiences, problems and aspirations.

The marginal savings in which she had driven herself, setting aside a million for these children, deprived her of the most necessary - Kava did not buy herself hearing aids when she began to hear very badly. She has never been on vacation.

The woman came from a family that had experienced the Great Depression, and she was taught to save her from childhood. This skill was useful and brought benefits to others.

Recall that recently a pensioner from Komi transferred a million rubles, which he had saved over his entire life for the purchase of housing, to a children's rehabilitation center that provides assistance to orphans and children left without parental care.
