Ukrainian officials decided to ban the word "parents"

From the textbooks of Ukrainian schoolchildren from the new school year will disappear the word "parents"since officials of the Ministry of Education of Ukraine considered it discriminatory.

The next examination of the educational material made the specialists think that it would be more logical to replace this word with another, for example, “relatives”. The ban is explained by the fact that not every student has parents in the direct sense of the word.

Among other things, the creators of textbooks are now prohibited from including illustrations depicting a complete family, where there is a mom, dad, brothers and sisters.

According to statistics in Ukraine about 3 million children live and are raised in single-parent familiesThere are also those who grow up in the care of grandparents, as parents are fighting in the east of the country.

Such children feel inferior when they meet the word "parents" in textbooks.

Focusing on Western education standards, Ukrainian officials decided to introduce several more innovations - to create heroes with disabilities, to exclude frail old people from tales and stories, trying to find new characters - healthy and optimistic old people.

Relationships between males and females in children's literature (Vasilisa the Beautiful and Ivan Tsarevich, Alyonushka and Prince, for example) are recognized "obsolete pattern of behavior". As it is planned to rewrite children's fairy tales, and who will play the wedding with a feast for the whole world in the final, officials have not yet reported.
