In Volgograd, an award was given to a boy who raised the whole world in search of a cure for his mother
13-year-old Ivan Shitik from Volgograd on the Day of Defender of the Fatherland received a high award, as a child-hero who saved the life of a man by his actions. And this is not about some other person, but about his own mother.
In the summer of 2018, a handwritten announcement appeared at the entrances of the area where the child lives. In it, without further ado, the boy turned to people with a request to help find a cure for the sick mother. The drug was not available in pharmacies and was temporarily discontinued. A few simple words touched the depths of the soul not only Vania’s neighbors, but also millions of people both in Russia and around the world:
“Dear tenants. We ask you not to be callous and not indifferent. It is very necessary medicine "Nimotop"! Help cure mom! Thank you Ivan".
Neighbors photographed the ad and posted it on social networks, and a wave of human indifference quickly began to spread — thousands of people from all over the world joined in the search for Nimotop.
A 43-year-old Ivan's mother had a stroke, and after him, this particular drug was recommended to a sick woman. Without him, there was a great risk of another stroke and the death of a woman.
Desperately, with all the methods available to him, the teenager began to search for the necessary medication. And found. The drug was sent from Belarus, from Turkey.
The well-known television pedagogue Elena Malysheva found good doctors who brought equipment from Moscow to Volgograd, because a woman could not be transported to the capital. The capital doctors operated on Vanya's mom on the road. She had a stent installed, and today the woman is practically healthy.
The boy, who despite his young age, did everything to save his mother, and even more, awarded the order "For the Saving of Life", separately congratulated him by the EMERCOM of Russia staff. They wanted to see Vanya in their ranks after he graduated from school.
But the most valuable award was given to Ivan’s mother — osurvived thanks to the person whom she herself gave birth. The woman received hundreds of thousands of reviews from complete strangers who expressed her deep respect for her because she raised her son to a real man. And for a real man and a defender, the calendar age, as it turned out, is not the most important criterion.
