This medication is often prescribed to adults, as it is contraindicated at an early age, but sometimes it is prescribed to schoolchildren and adolescents.

Release form and composition

"Nooklerin" is a product of the company "Peak-Pharma", in the assortment of medicines of which there are such popular drugs as "Elkar"And"Pantogam". The only dosage form of "Nooklerin" is a solution that must be taken orally. It is sold in a bottle of dark glass in a volume of 100 ml. The bottle is attached measuring 5-ml spoon, which has a mark "1/2" to measure 2.5 ml, and sometimes the mark "1/4", allowing you to gain 1.25 ml.

The solution itself has a yellow or pink tint and smells specifically. Its main component is called deanol acylglumate and consists of two compounds: deanol and acetylglutamic acid. Their dosage in 1 ml of solution is 200 mg (that is, the concentration of such a drug is 20%), and one full measuring spoon contains 1 g of active substances. Additional ingredients of the drug are propyl parahydroxybenzoate, purified water, xylitol and methyl parahydroxybenzoate.

Operating principle

The structure of the active components of "Nooklerin" resembles the chemical structure of compounds that are metabolites of the brain. The drug is marked neuroprotective properties, that is, its reception protects brain tissue from harmful influences. In addition, the use of "Nooklerin" provides the following effects:

Indications and contraindications

"Nooklerin" is contraindicated in children under 10 years. If the child is younger, he is prescribed another nootropic drug, approved for his age.

The solution should not be given to patients with individual hypersensitivity to any of its components, as well as in case of serious pathologies of the kidneys. “Nooklerin” is given to children 10–12 years old, at a dose of 0.5–1 g per day, which corresponds to a half or a whole measuring spoon. From the age of twelve, the dosage is doubled, that is, they give a teenager 1-2 g of active substance per day, which he can get from 1-2 measuring spoons.The specified daily dose of the drug is divided into two or three doses, but the last time you can give the solution to the child no later than four hours before bedtime.
