Analgin, Suprastin and No-shpa children: instructions for use and dosage

Content

High body temperature in a child in most cases acts as a defensive reaction to help get rid of germs and viruses. If it does not exceed 38 degrees, medication is not recommended to lower the temperature. At higher numbers, children are given antipyretic drugs.

Doctors often prescribe medications containing paracetamol or ibuprofenhowever, in critical situations, the use of Analgin. If the temperature needs to be brought down quickly and efficiently, the so-called lytic mixture is used. What drugs are included in its composition in addition to Analgin and is it possible to use this mixture in the treatment of children?

What is a lytic mix?

Such a mixture, also called “triad”, is a combination of three drugs:

  • Anesthetic antipyretic medication, which is usually Analgin. It can be replaced with Paracetamol or one of the preparations containing ibuprofen.
  • Antihistamine drug, which most often acts Suprastin. It can also be Diphenhydramine.
  • Antispasmodic, which is mainly used as No-silo. This medicine can also replace papaverine.
The combination of antispasmodic, analgesic and antihistamine drug well reduce the temperature and relieve fever

These medicines can be used in injectable form or in tablets. In addition, it is possible to use not three drugs, but combinations of only two drugs, for example, Analgin with Suprastin or Analgin with Diphenhydramine.

Once in the patient's body, the lytic mixture has the following effect:

  • Due to the presence of analgin she provides a rapid decrease in temperature and analgesic effect.
  • No-shpa causes dilation of blood vessels and helps eliminate spasmwhich is especially important in hyperthermia, which is called malignant or "pale."
  • Suprastin in the mixture is responsible for the elimination of edema.and also has a sedative and hypnotic influence. In addition, it reduces the risk of an allergic reaction to the use of "triad".

When is it used?

Sharing Suprastin, No-shpy and Analgin demand:

  • With the "white" fever, signs of which are cool to the touch limbs, pallor of the skin, lethargy of the child.
  • With very high body temperature (more than +39 ° C).
