Hello! My daughter is 10 years old. Weight growth is normal. Periodically they measured her blood from a finger with a glucometer (which shows how in venous blood). Results: 5.2; 5.4. When we saw on the meter 5.4 we went to donate blood from a vein for glucose to the laboratory, the result came 5.2. This morning I checked her blood with a blood glucose meter - 5.5, after rechecking 5.2, then again 5.5. 2 hours after the usual breakfast checked with a glucometer - 5.1. After that case, when they donated blood from a vein, we consulted with our pediatrician, she said that this is the norm and we do not need an endocrinologist consultation. Now I have a question - are such glucose values ​​normal for a child of 10 years old? (Especially today 5.5)? Do I need to show my daughter endocrinologist? In our family there was diabetes in the daughter's great-grandmother. Thank you in advance!
