The action "Children instead of flowers" has become one of the most successful in Russian history

The action "Children instead of flowers", which was joined by parents and schoolchildren from all regions of Russia on September 1 of this year, turned out to be one of the largest and most successful in Russian history.

This was stated by the representative of the charity fund "House with a lighthouse" Lidia Moniava.

Terms of participation in the action were quite simple - parents were asked not to spend big money on bouquets for students by September 1. Instead of an expensive bouquet of flowers, they bought one flower at a time, adding up which you could give a luxurious bouquet for the teacher from the whole class.

The rest of the money, which made the difference between the cost of one flower and a whole bouquet, was proposed to be transferred to one of the existing charitable funds for sick children who need expensive treatment.

The action has been held in Russia for several years. But until this year, she wore a focal character. Only separate classes and schools joined it.

This year, “Children instead of flowers” has become truly All-Russian, it was joined by hundreds of schools from almost all regions of the country.

Already, the results of the action are estimated as the largest and most impressive in the Russian history of charity. Total Russian parents and students managed to collect more than 50 million rubles for children who are in dire need of these means.

Such a large donation, according to representatives of charitable foundations, to this day, neither bankers, nor corporate executives, nor officials have done.

It was decided to send this sum for the wards of the trust fund for the incurably sick children "Vera". They will be spent on medicines, wheelchairs, expensive medical food and some other things necessary for the Children's Home of the Beacon hospice.

A detailed report on each penny spent from 50 million rubles will be presented on the website of the Fund "Vera".

The action "Children instead of flowers" was not liked by all. For example, representatives of the flower business, left without a large piece of money pie, spoke with one voice about the collapse of age-old traditions.

Parents and teachers, on the contrary, supported the action. The teachers honestly admitted that 20-25 bouquets, which had previously been given on Knowledge Day, are completely useless to them. Such a number of colors can not be carried home, and in the classroom they can be put only in a bucket for cleaning floors. Therefore, most of the flowers the next day turned out to be in a trash container.

Next year, the action before September 1 is expected to gain even more followers and become as large-scale as some other initiatives that began with small events for a specific group of the population, for example, the Immortal Regiment.
