Returned to life: Chelyabinsk doctors cured paralysis of a child with magnetic impulses

Chelyabinsk doctors from the children's regional hospital decided on a unique experiment.

They are trying to get 10-year-old seeds of Bundin on their feet. The boy fell in February from a great height, received severe spinal and limb injuriesbrain injury. The child spent quite a lot of time in a coma.

A recently immobilized child was transferred to the Department of Traumatology, where doctors decided to try a new recovery method for most Russian regions - the method transcranial magnetic stimulation.

The essence of the method is reduced to the effects of magnetic pulses. to certain areas of the brainresponsible for certain movements or actions. When exposed to magnetic impulses, the child does not feel pain.

A week of therapy allowed the boy to be removed from the coma, after a month and a half he began to move his limbs, which were initially paralyzed.

Now, two months later, the child draws, sings, and understands the speech and requests addressed to him. The recovery of speech function has begun. Doctors plan put the seeds on their feet and return him the opportunity to sit, walk.

Chelyabinsk doctors note that this technique can bring many benefits in treating children with autism, acute disorders of cerebral circulation, multiple sclerosis, consequences of serious injuries, as well as children with psychomotor retardation.

However, not all Russian hospitals are equipped with special equipment and have in their staff medical personnel who could work with this technique.

The Ministry of Health of the Russian Federation claims that the installation for transcranial magnetic stimulation should gradually appear in all hospitals of the hospital type, despite the high cost of each set of such equipment. The technique can give chances of recovery for children with diagnoses that were previously considered incurable.
