For Russians with children, they will start building low-cost, one-story houses with a preferential mortgage

Families with children who are legally entitled to a preferential mortgage at 6% per annum are fine single storey detached houses.

This statement was made by Oleg Nilov, a deputy of the State Duma of Russia and the author of the project.

He explained that the wooden one-story houses will give families with children more useful living spacethan in a standard apartment, and the cost of housing will be lower.

Accordingly, many more families will be able to buy their own homes.

It is planned to return to this idea in the Government immediately after the new composition of the cabinet of ministers is fully formed.

Recall that Russian families can receive a preferential mortgage, in which from January 1, 2018 a second or third child will appear.

For them, interest on the mortgage loan will be compiled only 6% per annum, the rest will pay the state for the first three years after the birth of the baby.

Earlier, Vladimir Putin called on local officials to abandon the construction of houses, resembling "faceless boxes", and begin to build a truly comfortable housing.
