State Duma shortens decision-making on the issuance of maternity capital by half

State Duma deputies in the first reading adopted a bill proposed by the Government of the Russian Federation, aimed to reduce the period of consideration of the issue of maternity capital.

Today, the family that is eligible for maternity capital waiting a month from the date of application for the issuance of the certificate. Only a month later, parents receive a letter about whether they are provided with a certificate or denied for some reason.

Waiting time planned to reduce to 15 days maximum. It is this period that will be set aside for checking all the documents provided by the mother or father, as well as to notify the family about the decision made.

Thus, it will be possible to get a certificate much faster.

In 2018, the cost of the certificate is still equal to 453,026 rubles. Indexation is scheduled for 2020.
