Doctors discovered another danger of cesarean section

The very fact of the birth of a child into the world does not naturally, but surgically affect the development of the baby’s brain. This was stated by biologists at the University of Georgia in Atlanta.

They managed to fix massive death of brain neurons immediately after the birth of the baby in a completely natural way. Scientists believe that the reason lies in the excessive activation of the hypothalamus. This mechanism is provided by nature so that the child can quickly adapt to the new environment, because immediately new neural connections begin to form.

Caesarean section as a type of birth reduces the number of neurons killed at birth and does not trigger the rapid processes of formation of new neural chains. The process of adaptation of the brain, therefore, proceeds more slowly and with impairments.

The study was conducted on laboratory rats. In the young, born by caesarean section, the death of neurons was slow and lasted for at least three days after birth. As a result longer could not stabilize immunity.

Scientists have suggested that in the brain of human babies who were not born naturally, but surgically, exactly the same processes occur that could later affect on the development of some parts of the brain.

Worldwide in recent years there has been an increase in the share of operative labor. Average, every fifth birth today are held on the operating tablewhereas in the 80s of the last century the share of cesarean section in labor did not exceed 3%. Doctors believe that the reason lies in the deterioration of women's health, in their lower mobility, in the deterioration of the ecological situation, which ultimately becomes a contraindication to childbirth naturally.
