Experts from the Ministry of Health of Russia called list of regions in which the healthiest children live.
In compiling this ranking, statistics on childhood morbidity over the past year were taken into account. The age of young patients is from 0 to 14 years.
The results obtained in the course of analyzing statistics from all regions showed that the healthiest children live in Chechnya. There are only 62 out of a few thousand diseases per 100 thousand babies.
Chechen children are not only sick less often, but are born healthier - cases of congenital malformations and serious diseases in the republic are a relative rarity.
For Chechen kids, the second place was taken by small residents of Kabardino-Balkaria. The third place to them was taken respectively by Tyva and Adygea. And the top five closed in Buryatia.
In the "tail" of the rating were regions in which a high level of pediatric disease, congenital malformations.
At the end of the list were the Nenets Autonomous District, Chukotka, Karelia and the Komi Republic. Closes the list of the Arkhangelsk region. There, the number of diseases per 100 thousand children exceeds 350 thousand cases, that is, each child suffers an average of at least 3.5 times a year.
The data obtained led the specialists to an interesting idea about the positive impact mountain climate to the health of babies. Chechnya, which is recognized as a leader, has been at the top of the rating for the past 14 years and, apparently, it’s not going to give first place in the number of healthy tokens.
On average in the country over the past year, the incidence among children was 222 thousand per 100 thousand children, that is sick average child under the age of 14 2.2 times a year.
Only diseases for which the parents treat the child to the doctor fall under the register. Cases of "domestic" ailments, when the doctor is not called, cannot be counted and added to the statistical picture.
