Ministry of Education against the extension of schooling to 12 years

The idea of ​​extending schooling for a year was expressed by the people's representative from the Liberal Democratic Party Vasily Vlasov. He proposed to extend the summer school holidays for a month and compensate this time with an additional year of study.

The Ministry of Education and Science did not support the initiative, because the department believes that the system developed at the moment evenly distributes the load and allows you to master the full educational program.

The ministry recalled that in the USSR, children in ordinary general education schools studied for 10 years.
