Leave the children alone: the Minister of Education urged the teachers not to give the students New Year's assignments

Given that the winter holidays are long, many Russian teachers ask their students New Year and Christmas. This situation angered the Minister of Education of Russia Olga Vasilyeva.

She said that the teachers should not do this, because modern children are already very loaded at school.

New Year's holidays are needed to children and adults could fully relax, get away from all the worries and problems and spend time together.

Instead of compulsory assignments for these days, it would be much more reasonable for teachers to write letters for parents of “problem” students, in which it would be soft to express part of the rest to activities on a subject in which the child does not have time. Vacations are long, and parents, knowing that the children have problems with geography or chemistry, could easily work with him. Children who have a good and excellent time do not need homework for the holidays.

Recently, not only parents of eleventh-graders, but also parents of elementary school students, have been complaining about the exorbitant workload at school and a large list of home reading and assignments for the New Year holidays.

Instead of spending holidays on a hill, on a skating rink, on skis in the woods, children, even on holidays, are forced to sit at notebooks and recipes.

Anxiety is also beaten by pediatricians - modern schoolchildren, starting from 6-7 years old, are increasingly in a state of chronic stress, since adults simply do not give a respite, demanding more and more. This is fraught with a variety of diseases and pathologies.

Vasilyeva expressed the wish that teachers listened to her words and did not overload schoolchildren of any age - everyone needs a good family rest.
