A single father became famous for his drawings about life with a child
An artist from Taiwan, who fell to take into account raising his son alone, gained worldwide fame after he began to tell in pictures about your daily life with your baby.
The real name of the artist is Lan Shengze, and for almost 20 years he has been working under the pseudonymism BLUE.
Lan's son was born four years ago, he doesn’t tell anyone what happened, where the mother of the child has gone, it’s only known that since the birth of the baby, the man has been taking care of him on his own.
From the first days of fatherhood Lan began to create a series of drawings that demonstrate all the joys and difficulties of raising a son. He recently decided to publish them. Lan himself says that he began to sketch some moments of life with his son only to just remember them, capture them forever. Unlike ordinary photography, the drawing has a “soul”, a more vivid emotional color. It was his, apparently, and felt by Internet users, because the drawings of the Taiwanese artist gained incredible popularity.
The artist devotes his whole day to the child, and if he sees something worthy of drawing, he only sketches it out with a pencil, drawing and working out the details at night, when the son goes to bed.
Today, Lan has already accumulated several hundred drawings that demonstrate in detail each year of his son’s life, all the difficulties and achievements.
The artist plans to combine all of them into an exhibition by the day his boy becomes an adult. He believes that this will be the best gift of all that dad ever gave to their children.
