A teenager from Magnitogorsk communicates with parents through a lawyer

15-year-old resident of Magnitogorsk decided hire a lawyer to protect her from her parents. The girl decided to go to university in Yekaterinburg, but her parents were categorically against her moving to another city.

In order to protect herself from parental actions, the girl was forced to apply to a law firm, whose employees took up all negotiations with her mother and father.

A few days ago, the parents arrived in Yekaterinburg and forcibly took the daughter out of class. First, the parents took the teenager to the police station, and then sent to Magnitogorsk.

The story received such a wide public response that the ombudsmen of two regions at once intervened in the matter - the Chelyabinsk and Sverdlovsk regions. They ordered a detailed review. The lawyer hired by the girl said that he intended to go to court to parental actions were deemed illegal.

The girl's mother told the police that her daughter was prone to maximalism. Parents claim that they were not against the university in Yekaterinburg, and even gave money to pay for the first semester, but the girl stopped contacting her parents. She got her parents the information that her daughter hired a lawyer.

It is known that now the girl is in Magnitogorsk, she is forbidden to use a mobile phone and social networks.

Children's ombudsmen say that the situation is paradoxical: formally the parents are right, since they are fully responsible for her 18th birthday, on the other hand, the child should have the right to vote when choosing an institutionand parents should not decide for a teenager on whom and where to learn.

The law does not regulate for children the right to choose a place of study, but in normal families parents manage to reach agreements with the child and choose the option of the university that would suit everyone.
