In Russia, will cancel the bank commission with payments for the first child

The Russian government has fully approved and supported the bill submitted to the Cabinet on the abolition of the bank commission for operations with payments for families on the occasion of the birth of the first child.

Information about this appeared today on the official portal of the country's Cabinet of Ministers.

This document will be beneficial to supplement the article of the Federal Law No. 3, which regulates the payment of monthly benefits to Russian families with children.

Previously, for all transactions with the children's allowance for the firstborn (transfer or cash withdrawal), banks took a fee as a percentage of the amount. Such a payment for banking services from monthly child benefits is recognized as illegal, its canceled at the state level in all regions of the country.

Such a measure, in the opinion of the State Duma deputies who prepared the draft law, as well as the members of the Cabinet of Ministers who approved this draft, will help improve the social guarantees of families raising a child.

The new allowance, which parents called the “first child allowance,” began to be paid to everyone who gave birth or adopted a child. from January 1, 2018.

It is intended for families classified as needy, until the child reaches the age of one and a half years. In each region, benefits are different because they are charged at the rate of one subsistence minimum for children. The national average benefit amount is 10,500 rubles.

The law on the appointment of such allowance was signed in December last year by President Vladimir Putin, due to which the allowance is also often called “presidential”.
