In Russia, create a center for assessing the intelligence of children

Specialists of the Russian Academy of Education have begun work on creating a data center that will be engaged in collection and analysis of information on psychological and intellectual abilities and characteristics of modern children and adolescents.

To understand what they are - modern children, long-term research is needed. Their intelligence and development must be monitored from early childhood to adulthood.

This is exactly what the data center will do.

All studies will be combined into a single database, which school psychologists will be able to use at any time.

Planned to develop a set of tests that will pass the national standardization. This means that the tests will be recognized and accepted as a reference throughout the country. Then they will be handed over to school psychologists with explanations and keys, as well as to relevant specialists in kindergartens, universities and secondary specialized educational institutions.

As stated in the Russian Academy of Education, the tests will be questionnaires and a special set of tasks for logic, spatial and figurative thinking, attention, memory, and intelligence.

The project is headed by Academician of the Russian Academy of Education, Doctor of Psychology Sergey Malykh. He is confident that the All-Russian data center will allow you to quickly identify general trends towards changes in the thinking and development of modern children, and reliability will be quite high.

It is assumed that the development of psychologists from RAO will go to educational institutions at the beginning of the school year.

And in the coming year, the data center will begin the first collection of information on the psychological characteristics and intellectual level of school-age children from each region of Russia. School psychologists will send the test results to a single center, where they will sum up semi-annual results every six months.

Based on the research, the data center will be able to make recommendations on the organization of the educational process to the Ministry of Education, as well as advice on the organization of children's recreation and sports to regional and federal departments.
