Russian Minister of Education against the ban on mobile phones in schools

Education Minister Olga Vasilyeva announced that she does not share the idea of banning schoolchildren from using mobile phones.

So the official responded to the appeal of the Parents' Council and the information spread by the world media. Recall, journalists reported a complete and categorical ban on cell phones in schools in France.

Olga Vasilyeva stressed that there is no need to prohibit phones, you need to teach children to use them wisely.

In many schools of Russia, there is a practice of handing over cell phones to a teacher before a lesson, and after a lesson a child can take a telephone and use it during a break.

It should be noted that schoolchildren are forbidden to bring mobile phones to educational institutions not only in France. The same ban applies in Germany, Japan, and in some US states.

A year ago, the Russian Minister of Education was sure of the opposite - she openly spoke against cell phones at school and called on school principals to make decisions about their ban.

Today in schools there is such a practice: the guilty child gives the phone to the teacher, and the teacher passes the technique to the parents of the child for edification.

It is absolutely not recommended to do this, because the minor’s constitutional rights are violated. He received a cell by donation from his parents or other relatives, the thing belongs to him by right. Therefore, it is against the law to select it, let alone pass it on to third parties (in this case, parents).
