The mystery is revealed: scientists have figured out why babies are kicking in the womb

Researchers from University College London tried to touch the secret of the fetal life of children. In particular, they tried to find out why babes in the womb mom kick hard. The results of the study have already been published in scientific journals and are now awaiting the response of the scientific community.

British specialists, and the group of researchers included gynecologists, perinatal psychologists and neonatologists, are confident that the baby in the womb kicks the uterus only to know the boundaries of its own body.

Surveys of pregnant women did not provide too much information, so scientists had to carefully observe the behavior of newborns. They selected 19 born babies and recorded the performance of their brain during REM sleep.

The involuntary movements of the arms and legs of babies were evaluated separately. It is noteworthy that with each movement of the handle or leg in a dream, the corresponding hemisphere of the brain was activated. More active was the work of the brain in premature karapuz.

The results of the study allowed scientists to suggest that kicks and pushes of limbs in the mother's womb in the last months of pregnancy are necessary for the baby in order to stimulate the growth and development of certain parts of the brain that are associated with sensory perception and defining the boundaries of their body.

In this way, crumb before his birth, kicking, "adjusts the map" of his own body.

Research is especially important for premature babies. Scientists, in view of the revealed fact, suggest to wrap up those who were born prematurely. This will allow children to create an imitation of the walls of the uterus, and their brain will develop at a normal pace, the crumbs will in time receive the skills of possession of the body.
