Scientists have substantiated the harm of coffee for pregnant women

Norwegian scientists from the country's Institute of Health could prove that coffee and all caffeine-containing beverages and products extremely dangerous to the health of future childrenand therefore pregnant women are strongly discouraged from taking them.

These conclusions scientists came from the results of a large and lengthy study, which was conducted by order of the Norwegian Ministry of Health.

The experiment involved 50 thousand women of reproductive age with children.

The researchers found out the peculiarities of the lifestyle of each, and also surveyed whether they drank coffee during pregnancy. In addition, scientists have requested medical records of children born after pregnancies, in which coffee was consumed.

Pediatricians connected to the experiment, carefully examined all the babies born to women who could not cope with the pregnancy with a coffee strain.

The children were divided into three groups - three years old, five years old and eight years old.

As a result, it became clear that the more a woman consumed coffee, the worse the health of her child became with age, even if he was born completely healthy.

In particular, children of caffeine-dependent women showed a tendency to obesity at an early age. At the same time, at the age of 3 years, obesity was diagnosed in 25% of babies, at five years old - at 40%, and at 8 years old - in 55% of children, whose mothers drank a lot of coffee while carrying a child.
