Scientists told how to program the sex of the unborn child

An international group of scientists carefully studied all the popular councils aimed at conceiving a child of a particular sex, and found that none of the tips work.

But a detailed analysis of the statistics still allowed specialists to identify certain patterns in the sex ratio among newborns.

The ratio of the number of boys and girls at birth is 103: 100. There is no direct way to influence the sex at conception, that is, parents can not regulate which sperm in the process of conception can fertilize an egg — XX or XY.

But scientists have noticed that the birth rate is controlled by some mysterious force.

When the so-called "effect of war" is in effect, more boys are born, and after such periods girls start to be born more often. That is, in a global sense, the regulation of sex ratio in the interests of the human species still regulated.

Previously, it was believed that male fetuses are still very vulnerable during pregnancy, while female embryos have a higher viability. Cambridge geneticist Stephen Orzak, the head of the research team, claims that they were able to prove that girls in the embryonic period are no less vulnerable than boys.

A group of scientists investigated and circumstances that may affect the conception of a child of a certain sex. Conclusions otherwise awesome, difficult to call.

Thus, the study of the biochemical and physiological characteristics of sperm showed that for conceiving a girl is best to abstain from sex for a couple of weeks. So the concentration of X-sperm will be higher.

If a couple dreams of son, then Stephen Orzak advised to earn more and often have sex. The British biologist Roger Hughes agreed with him, who confirmed that boys are more likely to be born in high-income families, and the number of sperm XY type increases with frequent sexual intercourse.

Scientists arrived at this conclusion by finding that boys are most often born to couples who are just married (a ratio of 109.5 to 100).

But the sex of other children in the family does not affect the sex of the next baby. Even if the couple already have three boys or three girls, the chances of conceiving a baby of the opposite sex during the fourth pregnancy do not increase even a hundredth of a percent.
