All children under 14 years old are scheduled to pay a single allowance.

Today, a bill has been submitted to the State Duma of Russia that sets a new size single benefit for all children under 14. The authors of it were the deputies from the LDPR Alexander Sherin and Kirill Cherkasov. The document proposes to establish at the federal level a monthly allowance, which parents of children under 14 will receive. Its size should not be less than half of the average subsistence minimum established for the current day in the country..

Today, the average Russian subsistence minimum is 10,444 rubles (as of the second half of 2018). This means that a single allowance for a child who is not yet fourteen years old should be no less than 5222 rubles a month.

The document also provides for the annual indexation of this benefit in accordance with the level of inflation.

Today, such allowance exists, but its size is ridiculous, for example, in the Altai Territory, it is set at 90 rubles per month, and such allowances are established by state authorities in each subject of the Federation and are paid from the regional budget. The proposal will be considered during parliamentary meetings this spring.
