Life after an abortion: how a boy lived whose mother got rid of him in the 25th week of pregnancy

The whole world admires the life story of a young man named Tim, who symbolizes the love of life and serves as a guide for those who are in a difficult situation. His story was told by adoptive parents who published a book that quickly became a bestseller not only in Germany, where they live, but throughout the world.

Back in 1997, Tim's own parents decided to have an abortion, since at the 25th week of pregnancy, the child showed signs of Down syndrome. By law, abortion is prohibited in Germany after 13 weeks of gestation, but in some cases, doctors agree to have an abortion at a later date. So did at that time. Tim's mother was allowed to have an abortion.

The doctors were the first to be surprised when the baby was born alive at 25 weeks. The premature little boy with a weight of 690 grams moved, wept and even breathed on his own. Then it was decided to wrap him in a diaper and leave without medical careto die

When the new change of obstetricians came on duty, and it happened nine hours after Tim's birth, doctors were very surprised to find that the baby is still alive. The heart of one of the doctors could not stand it, and he ordered to transfer the crumb to intensive care, where he began to provide assistance.

From the first days, the baby’s medical card resembled a medical encyclopedia — undeveloped lungs, hemorrhage in the brain, more than ten different birth injuries, deep prematurity. All this, of course, affected the development of the child. Tim's organs of vision were damaged, there were multiple dysfunctions of the brain and the central nervous system, he developed autism. Native parents abandoned the child again.

A boy from the hospital six months after his birth was taken away by a Guido couple. Bernhard and Simone, the parents of two sons, did not hesitate for a long time - if there is someone in the world who needs help more than you need help, their spouses say.

They were surprised by the great vitality of the baby, who survived not because of, but in spite of.

The doctors said that a child with such a history will live no more than two years. Adoptive parents tried to do everything to these years were good for the baby. And Tim surprised everyone again - 2 years, 5 years, 10 years passed, and he continued to live, grow and develop. Of course, the boy never learned to speak, but he communicated with special sounds that his parents and brothers could understand. Adoptive mom and dad taught Tim to walk. He danced, went in for swimming.

In spite of everything, Tim had a full life, and together with his family he celebrated his 21st birthday.

The foster mother of the child wrote the book “Tim lives,” which raised a wave of social indignation, first in Germany and then all over the world - people discuss how ethical late abortions are.

Tim's parents also showed up, but not at all in order to get acquainted with his son, but in order to file a lawsuit in court. They accused the clinic of not being warned about the possibility of having a baby alive.

On January 4 of this year, Tim felt unwell, the doctors could not save him. A young man died of a lung disease.

A few days after his death, the book about his life became a bestseller. It is known that the story of Tim has already interested filmmakers. They want to make a feature film drama, which is planned to be presented next year.
