What is a hypo? And whether to use this technique?

Content

Recently, hypogeses are beginning to be especially popular all over the world - giving birth without pain in a state close to the state of trance. In this way, her third child, the Duchess of Cambridge Kate Middleton, gave birth to her, the birth of Angelina Jolie’s biological twins. The technique comes to Russia.

Already today, women planning childbirth can find courses on teaching methods. We will tell about this method, how it works and how to master it, in this material.

What it is?

Hypo-homogeneous is a technique consisting of several modules, which allows you to give birth in a natural way without intense pain and tears. The speed of the generic process also increases markedly. Such childbirth is not at all similar to the way they are portrayed in books and films - no one shouts, no one strains until hemorrhage in the eye. A woman feels more confident, calm, she adequately perceives reality and communicates with doctors, but does not feel severe pain.

The history of the method has very deep roots - doctors of different generations, observing how easily women of indigenous tribes of Asia and Latin America give birth without assistance, could not help thinking about what their secret is.

Long-term studies of the nature of birth pain began in the 19th century, but Soviet scientists achieved the greatest success in this. In 1949, the Soviet psychiatrist Ilya Velvovsky found out that pain in childbirth is nothing more than arousal of the cerebral cortex. Based on the discovery, he created a method of psycho prophylaxis for labor pain relief. It consisted in creating a normal verbal approach to create a normal interaction between the cortex and the subcortical layer of the brain in the process of childbirth.

Other scientists supported the theory of Velvovskiy: Prof. Vladimir Bekhterev, Dr. Lurie. In 1950, Soviet developments formed the basis of the work of the French obstetrician Fernand Lamaz, who became the founder of the method “Childbirth without pain and fear”. The first birth under hypnosis, thus, took place in the Soviet Union, experiments were carried out in metropolitan maternity hospitals under the leadership of Bekhterev. And the results were amazing.

Methods of verbal exposure were recommended to all obstetricians of the country, but in the 90s they were undeservedly forgotten. The doctors began to stake on potent painkillers.

The developments of Soviet psychiatrists and physiologists have not sunk into oblivion - their work was continued by hypnologist Mary Mongan, an American who formulated the basic principles of hypogeses. Her method (the Mongan method) is often called copyright, but, in fact, it is a continuation of the work of great doctors, scientists, and biologists of the USSR, France, and England.

Mary herself was so interested in their methods that she decided to try them on her own daughter — Mary herself took her birth, conducting all the necessary psycho-physiological training. Then she wrote a book about hypnorods, and the method that she had proposed gained popularity in the countries of Europe, the USA. Now he began to practice in Asia, in Africa and Russia.

The essence of the method

In order to understand the basis of the techniques of hybrids, it is important to know what kind of ancestral pain has. Experts believe that the basis of pain is nothing more than fear. Women are afraid to give birth, and when fear of childbirth at the psychosomatic level (as established Velvovsky) involuntary muscle clamps occur.

Fear has deep roots - girls from childhood see in films, read books, hear stories of adult women about their torment in labor and draw conclusions about what to give birth is scary, painful. Fear settled in the subconscious, excites the cerebral cortex, does not allow a woman to relax. Muscle clips, “dictated” by nerve impulses in response to over-stimulation of the cortex, increase pain, slow down the contractions, pains, increase the likelihood of ruptures, weakness of labor forces, prolonged labor.

Nature takes care of the generic process to be as gentle as possible. - a few weeks before birth, myometrium (structural tissue of the uterus) gets rid of a large number of nerve fibers. This mechanism is designed to reduce sensitivity. But the fear that a modern woman feels before giving birth reduces nature's efforts to zero.. The women of the African or Latin American tribes mentioned above are less well-read and educated; they do not watch films or read books describing birth pains, and therefore they perceive childbirth as a completely natural process.

Female fear has one more nature - it comes from a lack of information about the birth process, how their body works, their reproductive system, how organs behave during childbirth. And the third fear is connected with the future - the fear not to cope with the child, to give birth to a sick baby. A woman creates fears herself, she can manage them. Pain during childbirth exists in the head (cerebral cortex), which means that it can be banned, excluded, canceled. It is not mandatory.

Homogeneous - a technique that helps prepare for childbirth as a physical level (relaxation, breathing), and psychological. Hypnosis in childbirth will be applied if necessary, much of the effect is due to auto-training and the internal mood of the woman.

The Morgan method does not imply anesthesia and stimulation during labor. Everything should flow as naturally as possible.

Training

A woman can get the basics of hypogeanism on courses - seminars, trainings are held in almost every city in paid clinics. You can use the services of trainers-hypnologists - such courses are offered by Anastasia Ivanova, Natalia Snigireva and others. But it should be understood that the services of these specialists will cost a lot.

This does not mean that women with modest incomes are not accessible. Mary Mongan points to the possibility of self-preparation, for example, according to her author’s book..

Training involves the development of breathing techniques, relaxation and certain affirmations (positive attitudes).

We invite you to familiarize yourself with some of them.

How to breathe?

Proper breathing allows a woman to save strength and energy in the process of childbirth. Besides calm and deep breaths and slow exhalations contribute to the production of serotonin, which additionally has an analgesic effect.

Take a comfortable position, close your eyes. Take a deep breath of the "abdominal" type (with an inflated abdomen with a fixed chest). Count slowly to four. Exhale "breast" twice as slowly, counting to eight.

How to relax?

Take a comfortable posture. We close our eyes and mentally divide our own body into several parts with the assignment of a number: hands - 1, head - 2, legs - 3 and so on. We start to count slowly. For ourselves, we say “one” and relax the corresponding part of the body, “two” - relax the facial muscles, the muscles of the neck, neck, “three” - the legs relax and so on.

The more often you will practice this exercise during pregnancy, the easier it will be to immediately relax the whole body in labor, according to Pavlov's theory, the mental balance will be closely related to the reflex muscle relaxation.

As soon as the fight starts, you will be mentally counted, and the body will relax, enabling the cervix to open painlessly, without clips, bringing the moment when the baby is born.

Deep rainbow relaxation meditation

Having mastered the previous exercise, you can move on to more effective and serious techniques that will help make childbirth easier and faster.

Take a comfortable position, count in your mind, relax all your muscles. Imagine lying comfortably on a pink cloud, it is soft and moist. Its tiny droplets are easily deposited on the skin, envelop you entirely. The cloud changes color to yellow or orange, it becomes warm, the skin feels not only wet droplets, but also gentle warmth. In the same way, "repaint" mentally the cloud in all the colors of the rainbow, and then smoothly return to this world.

This meditation will help at the stage of strong contractions that precede the attempts.

Performing these exercises, it is recommended to turn off the telephone, TV, so that there is peace and quiet around you. Time experts recommend choosing the same daily, but not before bedtime, so as not to accidentally fall asleep during exercise.

In groups and in individual classes on the system of hypohydes, clinics often use muffled light, quiet relaxing music in combination with the pleasant low voice of the hypnologist. You can create such an atmosphere in your own apartment.

Affirmations and installations

Morgan’s positive attitudes will gradually replace the negative, intimidating psycho-models in the subconscious. Affirmations are recommended to be approached with great responsibility.

So, here is a list of attitudes that a woman needs to repeat as often as possible so that they become part of her “I”. They can be combined with the exercises described above, and you can practice separately at any time - on the way to work, on a walk, in the store:

  • I cope with fears, they become small and gradually disappear;
  • I am happy, because soon there will be a meeting with the baby;
  • I am committed to a calm, painless childbirth;
  • I believe my body, it always tells me what to do;
  • I am safe, I am relaxed and ready to become a mother;
  • all the muscles in my body help the child to be born.

Human psychology is so arranged that the repeated repeated is perceived as real. Birth pain will not scare, because a woman will know exactly how to cope with it.

Opinion of obstetricians

Obstetricians and gynecologists completely agree that the mood of the woman in labor greatly affects the nature of the flow of her childbirth. Based on this, many people are inclined to respectful of hypotheses, although it is impossible to find a weighty evidence base of the effectiveness of such techniques today - not so many groundwork to draw general clinical conclusions.

Today, two types of hypnosis are used in obstetric practice: in the first case, in the delivery room, in addition to the woman in labor and the obstetric team, there is a hypnologist who constantly, from the first contractions until the birth of the baby, contacts the woman, gives her the correct settings, commands, keeps her in a state of light trance. The second method is self-hypnosis, when a woman herself regulates her mental and emotional state in accordance with the techniques she has learned in the classroom during pregnancy.

As an independent method of anesthesia, hypnosis is used today only in isolated cases when labor is not complicated, and only by those physicians who fully support the method of hypogeses.

In other cases, apply and quite traditional medicines, and epidural anesthesia, when the situation requires. The insistent demands of the parturient woman not to make her anesthetic, because she gives birth "with hypnosis" are unwise, if aggravating factors have appeared, when the use of anesthesia is the only reasonable way out for the mother and baby.

All doctors agree that women in labor who have prepared according to such a system give birth more easily, they are less likely to need anesthesia or other intervention. But at the same time, practicing obstetricians and gynecologists doubt that a woman in a state of trance is able to control the process.Her reactions can be inhibited.

If a woman wants to give birth under hypnosis, she must give her written consent. - A hypnologist will not be able to use hypnosis if such consent has not been obtained.

All actions of doctors in the delivery room are subject to uniform standards and clinical guidelines of the Ministry of Health. Regarding hypnosis, there are no recommendations - it is not clear when and how to start it, how to control its depth, how to control other woman’s reactions in trance, there are no recommendations regarding the actions of a hypnologist if something goes wrong if a woman is hypernous or completely immune to hypnosis. Therefore there are no officially held hypotheses with the presence of a hypnologist.. Only private maternity homes and clinics are resolved.

In certain cases, at the insistence of a woman, she can take a hypnotic trainer or a hypnologist as a partner for joint labor, some maternity hospitals and perinatal centers agree to this. Self hypnosis can be applied without restrictions..

Woman giving birth reviews

According to reviews of women who have already given birth according to the method of hypogeses, the process actually proceeded easier and faster. Some did not even have time to feel strong pain at the time of the attempts.Absolutely to refuse auxiliary obstetric techniques women do not advise.

If you really do not want to experience the effects of epidural or other anesthesia, according to reviews, the contractions can easily be “breathed out”, but you should not refuse amniotomy, for example, in case of polyhydramnios.

Therefore, experienced moms recommend not only to prepare for childbirth psychologically, to study breathing and relaxation techniques, but also to become familiar with the basic obstetric concepts in order to understand what it is and why you are offered to do.
