The action of both drugs provides a complex of three active substances:

  1. Neomycin. Such a component in the form of sulfate is presented in 1 capsule with a dosage of 35 thousand IU.
  2. Nystatin. The dosage of this ingredient in each capsule of Polyginax and Virgo is 100,000 IU.
  3. Polymyxin B. The amount of this substance in the form of sulfate in 1 capsule is 35000 IU.

Additionally, capsules include soybean oil, dimethicone, gelatin, and some other substances.

Operating principle

Due to the presence of antibacterial and antifungal components, Polygynax effectively destroys various types of microorganisms, including candida. In addition, the drug has a positive effect on the trophic processes occurring in the mucous membrane of the genital tract. After getting into the vagina the drug acts only locally and is almost not absorbed.

Indications

Polygynax and Virgo are used for gynecological diseases caused by pathogens that are sensitive to the drug. The tool is in demand in the treatment of:

Contraindications

The drug can not be used only in patients with hypersensitivity to neomycin, nystatin, polymyxin B or any auxiliary component of the drug.

Instructions for use

The drug Poliginaks Virgo is used for the night after the evening dress.The pointed tip of the capsule is cut off and, inserting the incised capsule shallowly into the vagina, lightly press it in order for the emulsion to fall on the mucous membrane. After that, the capsule itself is thrown away.

A single dose of medication is the contents of one capsule. Duration of use is usually 6 days.
