Operating principle

The main property, which manifests itself after the ingestion of both forms of Flamin in the children's organism, is a choleretic effect. Flavonoids in the composition of this medicine:

  • stimulate the secretion of bile due to the relaxing effect on the muscles of the biliary tract;
  • increase the content of bilirubin and bile acids in the secreted bile (this action is called choleretic);
  • change the chemical composition of bile and its viscosity;
  • increase the tone of the gallbladder;
  • have an antispasmodic effect;
  • activate the production of gastric juice;
  • slow removal of the food bolus from the stomach, so that the food is digested more efficiently;
  • have anti-inflammatory and wound-healing effects;
  • reduce the level of cholesterol in the blood, since they contribute to the secretion of this substance with bile;
  • have some antibacterial effect on gram-positive microorganisms.

Indications

Since "Flamin" affects the function of the liver and biliary tract, the drug is in demand for the pathologies of these organs. The drug is discharged:

  • with hepatitis;
  • with cholecystitis;
  • in biliary dyskinesia;
  • with hepatocholesitis.

Water for diluting the pellets should be taken freshly boiled and cooled (it should be at room temperature). Having stirred the medicine so that it becomes homogeneous, the drug is given to the child in such daily doses:

Analogs

One of the most popular means by which Flamin can be replaced is called «Hofitol». Such a choleretic preparation also contains plant extract, but not from immortelle, but from artichoke. He noted a mild effect, but the scope of this medication is narrower - it is usually prescribed to eliminate the heaviness in the abdomen, belching, swelling and other discomfort symptoms. "Hofitol" is represented by several forms, but for children more often choose a solution that is taken orally.

Another vegetable analogue of "Flamin" is "Kholosas". This syrup contains an extract from the hips, in which both choleretic and hepatoprotective effects are noted. “Holosas” is used with the same indications as Flamin, but it is contraindicated for children under 3 years old, and is prescribed for patients older than three years only under medical supervision.

In some cases, the doctor may recommend instead of "Flamin" a drug with a similar therapeutic effect called «Allohol». Its composition includes extracts from garlic and nettle, as well as dry bile and activated charcoal. This medicine is available in tablets approved from 7 years of age.
