Between the triangles that make up the square, there is a space 0.5 - 1 cm wide. The standard sizes of the triangles are 4.5 * 4.5 * 6 cm. As the basis for the toy, choose a well-bending material, most often it is fabric. The standard size of the base square from 14 to 15 cm.

The planes of each triangle are painted in contrasting colors. For example, on the one hand, all the triangles that make up the square are red, and if we turn the square, we will see that they are green.

The number of colors represented in the square depends on the age of the child who will play. You can find two-color and four-color squares. The two-color one is designed for children from 2 to 5 years old; a child from 3 to 8 years old and older can cope with the four-color square addition schemes. Often red and blue color of triangles on one side, yellow and green color on the other side are used for a four-color square.

Together with the game in the kit there is an instruction in which a fabulous storyline for games and an addition scheme of different levels of complexity are proposed.

Child Benefits of Square Games

Play square will be of great help in the development of your child.

Playing with him, the child will:

  • learn to name and distinguish different shapes of geometric shapes;
  • navigate in size - large, medium, small;
  • to form the first ideas about spatial relationships and spatial modeling;
  • be able to use the proposed schemes or invent your own to construct plane and three-dimensional figures;
  • remember colors;
  • develop attentiveness, thought processes, logic, memory;
  • develop imagination, creative data, creativity;
  • fine motor skills.

How to play

It must be remembered that an adult is a full partner of the game with a child. You can easily seize this toy on your journey, it will take the child for a long time and occupy a minimum of space in your luggage.

Such a game will be even more interesting for him.

You can offer to count how many conceived figures are in the square.In this case, it is also necessary to count composite figures. You can count triangles, squares, rectangles ...

Play the game "Guess what happened." To do this, fold any shape and ask the child to guess what happened. If the child is already able to independently form pieces, then switch roles. Now he will lay down a figure for you, and you guess.

Try to put together the familiar crumbs letters, numbers or symbols. Let him try to do it yourself. So you will not only usefully spend time together, but also consolidate the material previously studied with the kid.

You can create an unusual finger theater, playing only separate parts of the square. Master class on making Voskobovich square with your own hands

There are several options for how to make the square itself. More about each.

Option 1

This option is the easiest. You will need to cook:

  • colored cardboard;
  • scissors;
  • ruler;
  • pencil;
  • glue;
  • wide adhesive tape or transparent self-adhesive film.

How to do:

  1. Choose contrasting colors for triangles. If you make a two-color square, then red and green sheets of cardboard will suffice. If you decide to make a four-color square, you will need red, green, blue and yellow sheets.
  2. Draw the required number of triangles on the cardboard. For a two-color one, 16 pieces of each color are needed, for a four-color one, 8 pieces each. The size of the triangles can use the standard (6 * 4.5 * 4.5 cm), and you can make your own.
  3. Cut out the triangles.
  4. Based on the size of the triangles, determine the size of the base. For standard sizes, the base will be 15 * 15 cm. If you use a different size of triangles, then consider the distance between them of 0.5-1 cm.
  5. Glue the triangles in pairs in contrasting colors: blue-yellow, red-green. There should be a total of 16 triangles.
  6. Further, if you use adhesive tape, glue the triangles together on both sides, according to the number of colors selected for the square.
  7. If you are using a film, first measure the dimensions of the base of the square. On the base, place the squares in the required sequence. Fold the film over the top and gently glue the squares on the other side. You will have a solid base of your square. In case you use an adhesive tape, there will be many places of its connection.

The manual is ready. You can begin to fold.

Option 2

You will need:

  • the monophonic, easily developing fabric for a basis;
  • colored self-adhesive paper;
  • scissors;
  • ruler:
  • pencil.

How to do:

  1. Prepare the base of the required size. Please note that the edges of the fabric should not peel off. Treat them if necessary.
  2. Cut out the isosceles triangles from the self-adhesive paper.
  3. Arrange the triangles on the base so as not to be mistaken when sticking.
  4. Now gradually separate the protective paper layer from each triangle and stick it to the base.

The sizes of triangles and the basics, the color combination is described in detail in option 1.

Option 3

This version is made entirely of fabric. You will need:

  • monochromatic, easily bending fabric of neutral color (for example, white or black) for the base;
  • colored fabric for triangles;
  • optionally, white cardboard can be used to stiffen;
  • glue gun, thread, sewing machine.

How to do:

  1. Prepare the base. If necessary, treat the edges of the fabric.
  2. From the colored fabric cut the required number of triangles.
  3. From a cardboard you need to cut 32 triangles, slightly smaller.
  4. We collect the square. On the base with glue gun glue the triangles of cardboard, on top of them we glue the fabric triangles.
  5. To give strength, sew the edges of the triangles on a sewing machine.

All the necessary sizes and selection of colors can be seen in the first version of the manufacture of Voskobovich square.

In addition to games with such a square, Voskobovich offers another game "Transparent Square".

Transparent square

With this game, the child will develop:

  • thought processes;
  • logics;
  • design skills;
  • fine motor skills.

In addition, the baby learns to name and distinguish geometric shapes and learns about their inherent features.

The complete set includes 30 transparent plates in the form of a square. One of them is entirely blue, the other plates are painted blue only with individual particles of a square.

The set offers a detailed guide game actions. It contains a tale of unusual ice-free ice chips of Lake Ice. According to the story of the tale, the raven Maitre competed for three days with the keeper of Lake Ice. All these days he performed various tasks. In the manual, they are divided into 3 groups.

  • Day One proposes to perform the task, requiring the analysis of geometric shapes and part-to-whole relationships.
  • Day 2 is dedicated to collecting squares and other various particles.
  • The third day involves the game of "vertical domino."

All these days, the child assists him in the performance of tasks, receiving a reward in the form of non-floating ice. From them he will be able to fold the figures offered in the album or create his own.

On the final third day, you can help the crow with the whole family, playing “vertical dominoes” with your child. The rules of the game are very simple. The players in turn order pull out the plates with the parts and start together building a square of them. When the plate that you pulled out is not suitable for building a square, then you need to set it aside and start building another square with it.

The player who has completed the construction of the square takes it for himself, and he is awarded the number of points corresponding to the particles of the square. The winner is the player who had more points at the end of the game.

The fabulous story "The iceless ice cubes of Lake Ice, or the fairy tale of a transparent square," tells the crumbs about what happened to the Maitre and the ice floes in the continuation of the story. This tale is a continuation of a series of tales about baby Geo, uncle Slava and the raven. If you are not familiar with them, you can read their summary, which is at the beginning of the book. After Geo takes the ice pieces from Master, he starts searching for a way out of the Violet Forest. Invisible vsem, accompanying him on the road - prankster and mischief - in every way tries to prevent him from doing so. However, the participation of your baby and the magic ice will not allow him to do it. Your child will be helping Geo by collecting various shapes from non-floating ice in the process of reading a fairy tale.

The compactness of this game makes it very convenient. Going on the road, you will know what to occupy a child for a long time.

The game is suitable for children from 3 to 9 years. Included are various patterns of the addition of figures.
