Content

Chickenpox is a contagious childhood disease, the main symptom of which is a very itchy rash. And therefore, in treating chicken pox, great importance is attached to skin treatment. For her, use drugs that protect the wounds from infection, accelerate their healing, as well as relieve itching.

If earlier the chickenpox vesicles were treated mainly with brilliant green, sometimes replacing this bright green antiseptic with a more aesthetic pink fucorzin, now colorless products have been developed and are more often used. They do not pollute clothes and underwear, are easily washed off and look on the skin of the baby is not as frightening as green specks. What drugs can be called "colorless Zelenka" and why are they used to treat chickenpox?

What can be used in infants?

Chickenpox often develops in children older than one year, since infants in the first months of life are under the protection of mother's antibodies (if the mother had chickenpox in childhood), and also have little contact with other children. However, chickenpox in infants older than 6 months is found.

For the treatment of bubbles in these babies, it is permitted to use such colorless agents:

  • Calamine.
  • Tsindol.
  • Viferon.
  • Fenistil (from 1 month).

Can I not treat the skin

Using local remedies for chickenpox is not a prerequisite for treating such an infection. If you follow the hygiene (bathe baby several times a day, change clothes, wash hands) and prevent the scratching of the bubbles, the chickenpox rash will heal completely without any treatment. However, if the rash is very itchy and causes the baby great discomfort, or there is a high risk of infection in the wounds, skin treatment is desirable, because it will help alleviate the condition of the baby and prevent bacterial complications.

Observance of basic hygiene will not use medications during chickenpox
