Fukorcin at a windmill

Content

A rash is the most characteristic sign of chickenpox. It appears on the body of the sick baby on the first day of the onset of symptoms and looks like first like reddish dots. Soon, such a rash becomes papules, inside of which a clear liquid begins to collect. As soon as bubbles form on the body of the baby, it becomes immediately clear that the child has chickenpox.

Since the rash is quite itchy, and when scratched, it can become infected, which will lead to deeper skin damage and the appearance of scars, the chickenpox rash is treated with various antiseptics and healing accelerating wounds. One of them is fucorcin. Is it possible to use such a drug in children with chicken pox and how to do it correctly?

Composition and properties

Fucorcin is a bright raspberry solution, the color of which is due to the fuchsin dye. In addition to it, there are ethyl alcohol, distilled water, boric acid, acetone, resorcinol and phenol. The drug is released in dark glass bottles of 10 and 25 ml.

Fukortsin acts as an antiseptic, protecting treated skin from bacterial and fungal infections. For this reason, this medicine is often used for fungal and pustular skin lesions. Fucorzin can also be used to lubricate cracks, erosion and wounds on the skin.

Does chickenpox help

Processing fucorzin bubbles for chickenpox is quite common, as the tool helps:

  • Accelerate the drying of pockmarks.
  • Disinfect the surface of the skin.
  • Do not allow bacteria to get inside the elements.

In this case, parents should be aware that fukortsin is not able to neutralize the virus that caused chickenpox, as it is not an antiviral agent. The medicine only helps to get rid of discomfort and infection of the bubbles.

Fukortsin does not treat chicken pox, but only disinfects the skin

Contraindications

Apply fukortsin contraindicated in case of intolerance to any of the components of the drug. In order to reveal an increased sensitivity to the remedy, during the first use you need to smear a small area of skin with fucorcin, and after a while evaluate the reaction. If there is a burning sensation, itching and redness, it is recommended to refuse to use fucorcin.

Also, one should not grease a large area of skin with such an antiseptic. Phenol and acetone in the composition of such a drug with abundant application will be actively absorbed into the skin, which will lead to the appearance of weakness and dizziness, and in some cases to increased blood pressure and respiratory disorders.

We also note that it is impossible to process mucous membranes on which with the chickenpox bubbles can also be formed with fucorcin. For washing affected mucous membranes, it is better to use furatsillinom, chamomile infusion or miramistin.

Which is better - fukortsin or Zelenka

The basis of fucorcin, as well as brilliant green, is aniline dye. Therefore, if the mother of a child with chickenpox is interested in whether it is possible to treat the skin of the crumbs not with a brilliant green, but with fucorcin, then the answer is “of course, it is possible.” The effect of both drugs is similar, so that, considering what to choose for treating the chickenpox bubbles, you can prefer any of these solutions.

However, they have some differences:

  • Fucorcin is not advised to treat the skin of babies up to a year, and brilliant green can be used even in infants.
  • The composition of fucorcin includes more components, so the risk of hypersensitivity to the solution is greater. At the same time, zelenka contains only dye and alcohol.
  • The color of the skin with fucorcin is more resistant, but at the same time the stains from the pink dye are eliminated much easier than from the brilliant green.
  • Red and pink dots on the body of the child to many parents, and even the kids themselves, seem more aesthetic than the green ones.

Reviews

Mothers who used fucortin for pitting varicella rash often respond positively to such a remedy. They note that the drug, when properly used, does not dry out the skin and accelerates the healing of the bubbles. Users emphasize that fukortsin smears clothes and underwear less, which is why it is often chosen instead of brilliant green. A plus means is called its low cost (a bottle can be purchased for 40-60 rubles).
