Release form and composition

Renomaris is produced by Jadran, which also produces nasal products called “Aqua Maris". The only dosage form of the drug is spray. It is sold in plastic bottles that have a dispenser and dispenser. Inside this bottle is 10 or 15 ml of a clear solution, which has no odor and color.

The main ingredient of Rinomaris is xylometazoline. It is presented in solution in the form of hydrochloride, as in many other similar medicines. As for the dosage of such a substance, it is 5 mg per 10 ml (in a 0.05% spray) or 10 mg per 10 ml (this solution has a concentration of 0.1%).

Unlike its counterparts, which also act on the mucous membrane due to xylometazoline, Rinomaris also contains water from the Adriatic Sea. Its amount is about 2.5 g per 10 milliliters of medication. Other auxiliary components of the spray are plain water and potassium dihydrogen phosphate.

Operating principle

Xylometazoline present in Rinomaris is able to constrict blood vessels in the nasopharynx, due to which the swelling of the mucous membrane is eliminated. Such a substance begins to act within a few minutes after irrigation of the nasal passages, so relief from nasal congestion comes quickly and lasts up to 10-12 hours. At the same time, the drug acts only locally, and its active substance enters the bloodstream in a meager amount.

By adding to the composition of sea water "Renomis" additionally moisturizes the nasopharynx and has a positive effect on the production of mucus. In addition, such an auxiliary component helps to dilute the secret, which is the prevention of rhinitis complications. After applying the spray, congestion and swelling disappear, nasal breathing is relieved for a long time, and the mucous membrane is protected from irritation and drying out.

Contraindications

Spray is not used if the child has high blood pressure, heart palpitations, revealed thyrotoxicosis or developed glaucoma.
